Weekly Style and a Question

Hey everybody!

Today I styled the look I posted the other day. I'm going to start doing a 1940s-50s style in my hair every Sunday. Until I run out of things to try (which will probably be awhile), I'll post a picture at the end of each post every week. Let me know what you think of them and if you have any styles you want me to try (as long as I don't have to cut my hair to do it).

Now for the question. I'm wanting to have a themed youtube channel but I haven't decided what the theme should be yet. So my question is: What would you like to see me do? I need some suggestions!

So. Summup. Come see my styles. What should I do? See you guys!

Victorious day!

Working all day long. Finally, an ending product to be proud of. I stepped back from the counter and looked at my reflection in the mirror. Yes! Finally did it! It had taken all day but, boy, was I glad I had done it. I don't find doing new hairstyles hard to do but this one had been a pain.

Victory rolls! Several new challenges had been involved with this hairstyle.

  1. Teasing   -   I hadn't ever teased my hair before. It's not good for your hair really so I won't be doing it a lot. But it was interesting. I don't think I did it all right with the smoothing out afterwards but, you know...
  2. Curling my hair backwards    -   I think I've done this, but when I try to do this normally, I end up rolling the curling iron the normal way and giving the bottom of the strand a huge crease.
Then there were some not so new challenges. Like getting my bangs to cooperate. That's always fun.

But the end result was worth it! Ready?

Wait for it...

Here it is:
I give the credit of the photo to my brother. He took it and edited it for me.

But there they are!!! Victory rolls! Yay!

The New Year - 2014

I'm sure about a billion people are doing a post on the same thing (probably way before me, you know, at the beginning of the year when you're supposed to do it). But here I am.

Resolutions at the beginning of the year seem to never last. Especially ones like 'trying a different hair style every week' or something like that. So I wanted to at least do something more important as a resolution.

I've decided (and started on January 1st) to read through my Bible by the end of the year. Though I have read my Bible through, I have yet to read it from Genesis to Revelation in one year. So that is my main goal. My second is to memorize a verse (or a few verses) each week. Unlike most New Year's Resolutions however, if I fail to do that in a week, I'm not going to just give it up altogether. I think both of these things are important to a Christian's spiritual walk.

As a side note, I'm sorry I haven't been very active on my blogs. I plan on being a little bit better. I haven't drawn anything much recently, so I want to do that soon, as well. I'm planning on posting a drawing on the last weekend of every month.

Lastly, I want to share a quote with you. My good friend said this in a text message when we were talking and I thought it might help someone out there.

"The problem with stopping fighting [spiritually] is that the enemy doesn't quit with you." ~ Allie

When you wave the white flag, the enemy gives an evil cackle and says 'I've got her..." Mwahaha! Or Him. Whichever the case may be. And he keeps you right where he wants you until you start fighting again. Unless you never do. In which case, he keeps you where he wants you until you die (how depressing). I know that we don't always feel like fighting. But we have to anyway. The Bible says in Ephesians 6:13b-14a, "..and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore.." When you feel like you can't stand anymore, stand anyway. By the way, praying would help with that.

Anyway, that's my little splurge. Thanks for reading!
