New Job

I got a job! I'll be working with my sister. That being said, I will be quitting my hairstyle stuff (for every week anyway). I'll still post on here occasionally, but until I get the hang of the job and balancing my time and all that, I probably won't be posting too much.

Just wanted to let you know that.

Non-Vintage ~ Waterfall Braid

I again, didn't style a vintage look (I sort of ran out of them). But I did a waterfall braid. I didn't get a picture but this is what it basically looked like:

Except not all the way around. I did one on each side going all the way back and pinned them.

P.S. I'm thinking of changing this to just a new style every week instead of vintage ones because I can't think of any more (that I'm willing to try. So in other words, not Betty Grable :P)

Delayed Hair Style Post

I'm so creative with my titles... anyways. I redid the hairstyle from Sunday and I have pictures. I literally just twirled strands of hair with my fingers.

So let me know what you think! It was a bit wind-blown later today but that's okay.

40's/50's pull back curly thing

Okay so I have no idea what you would call this. I was just experimenting and really liked this style. It looked like it could have been from the 40s or 50s so guess what? I'm posting it.

I put my hair up in rollers last night, took them out this morning and brushed through them so they would be smoother. Then I started crossing pieces of my hair on each side and this is the result:

Love that picture the best! :P How grand. The best picture is the one and only that doesn't include my face. Brilliant.

French Twist ~ 40s

This style was more in the 40s when the war started and women started working. Today I did this and a front poof/pomp thing in the front with my bangs. Here are some pictures:

Break from 50s

I couldn't think of a hairstyle to do. Help! XD So I just kept my hair down today. Until after church tonight. I did this style (without the braid):

But that's no where close to 50s. So... yeah. Any ideas would be great!

Classic 40's waves

Sorry I'm a day late, posting the pictures. I might do this sometimes. Some Sundays I'm gone all day.

Yesterday I styled the 40's curls.  What do you think? I got a comment that I looked like the Andrews sisters
(-->).
They did something with their bangs that was different, but I took the comment as a compliment since that's somewhat the look I was going for.

I really like this look the best so far. I've started doing it in my hair everyday, actually. Let me know what you think!

40s Style (Peggy Carter)

So today I styled the 40's look that Peggy Carter had in Captain America. Well.. I attempted. My curls were too big but I'm really wanting to perfect the style, so I'll be doing this again sometime. I readjusted after taking these pictures and I think it looks better now. But, oh well. Let me know what you think!

Weekly Style and a Question

Hey everybody!

Today I styled the look I posted the other day. I'm going to start doing a 1940s-50s style in my hair every Sunday. Until I run out of things to try (which will probably be awhile), I'll post a picture at the end of each post every week. Let me know what you think of them and if you have any styles you want me to try (as long as I don't have to cut my hair to do it).


Now for the question. I'm wanting to have a themed youtube channel but I haven't decided what the theme should be yet. So my question is: What would you like to see me do? I need some suggestions!

Victorious day!

Working all day long. Finally, an ending product to be proud of. I stepped back from the counter and looked at my reflection in the mirror. Yes! Finally did it! It had taken all day but, boy, was I glad I had done it. I don't find doing new hairstyles hard to do but this one had been a pain.

Victory rolls! Several new challenges had been involved with this hairstyle.

1. Teasing   -   I hadn't ever teased my hair before. It's not good for your hair really so I won't be doing it a lot. But it was interesting. I don't think I did it all right with the smoothing out afterwards but, you know...
2. Curling my hair backwards    -   I think I've done this, but when I try to do this normally, I end up rolling the curling iron the normal way and giving the bottom of the strand a huge crease.

Then there were some not so new challenges. Like getting my bangs to cooperate. That's always fun. 

But the end result was worth it! Ready?
